According to the Mirror, Steven Gerrard has been reassuring his new signings that he has no plans to leave Ibrox in the near future – unless one job, in particular, becomes available.

The boss enjoyed a decent first season and is now on the hunt for trophies next year with him making some impressive signings so far.

Indeed, he appears to be building something here and it looks as though only one job is going to be able to take him away any time soon and, unsurprisingly, it’s the Liverpool one.

Apparently, he’s told his new players that he will only leave Ibrox in the near future if the Liverpool job becomes available and with Jurgen Klopp surely there for some time we needn’t worry about that right now.

Of course, we can all see Gerrard managing the Reds one day but I think for now he is fully committed to getting trophies for us and so I think this news is almost reassuring he’s not considering anything else.
