Key man delivers blow as Rangers looked for transfer agreement

|

Rangers head to Luxembourg this evening as we take on Progres in the second leg of the latest Europa League qualifying round.

The Gers have been good in pre-season so far but this is a game that we must be careful with after only taking a 2-0 win from the first leg.

Whilst we wait to see what happens tonight, though, it looks as though we’ve been dealt quite the blow in terms of us trying to sign Ryan Kent from Liverpool this summer.

Indeed, quoted by the Herald, manager Steven Gerrard has admitted that it could now be unlikely that the winger is going to return to Ibrox this summer.

He was asked whether Liverpool’s unwillingness to let him leave on loan would be the end of the story and, frankly, this is what the manager had to say:

“Where we are right now, yes [that is the end of it].”

We all wanted to see Kent back at Ibrox this summer and for the new season but it might be best to forget about that now.
