The George Edmundson to Rangers transfer saga continues and it is firmly anyone’s guess as to what is going to happen with the defender.

The Gers are hopefully on the lookout for new players for their backline this summer and Steven Gerrard must have an idea of who he wants to bring in.

Edmundson appears still possible, too, despite recent reports.

According to Football Insider last night, Oldham had accepted a bid from Peterborough United for the defender and Rangers target.

However, the door has been left open for the Gers to still get him in apparently with Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony taking to Twitter to abruptly put the rumour down.

A man that has always been open with fans on Twitter, there’s no reason to not believe what he has said about this apparent deal, so hopefully we can still get involved if we want to.

Certainly, though, it is dragging on more than it should.
