Rangers will have to sell one or two players this summer, it is inevitable, and with Glen Kamara attracting interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and more recently, Arsenal, he is one of the favourites reluctantly being tipped to leave.

However, former England team-mate of Steven Gerrard, Paul Robinson, believes that it isn’t quite as simple as that and a potential return to his old club might not be as appealing as it once was, as reported by Football Insider:

“Yes, there is always a temptation to come south of the border to the Premier League but I think Steven Gerrard is onto something really special right now.

“Why would you want to go and play a bit-part at Arsenal when you could play every week for Rangers, win trophies and play in the Champions League. There is a huge incentive for Kamara to stay.

“I don’t think a move to Arsenal would appeal to him right now. I think he’d opt to stay for at least another season.”

Kamara has been outstanding this season and is the perfect example of how our transfer model should work, picked up for a bargain fee but now valued at over £10million thanks to his development and exposure to playing against top level opposition in the Europa League.

It’s going to be an interesting summer, this group of players has come through a lot together and it won’t be easy for any of them to leave or give up the opportunity to play in the Champions League, however, after delivering “55” those that do will leave with the fans’ blessing and a place in the club’s history forever more.
