Rangers fans don’t see the benefit of Steven Gerrard playing both Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty after another disappointing away performance in the Scottish Premiership.
The Ibrox boss has utilised both players from the start of matches away from home in domestic action, changing up the familiar formation that has largely brought success since the start of the season.
However, they are not gelling in the final third and are arguably a detriment to each other’s game, with fans now calling for the manager to pick one or the other in future.
Sunday’s match was a real disappointment, losing 1-0 on the road to Livingston and failing to create the amount of chances needed to pick up a single point, never mind three.
Supporters took to Twitter after the match to share their thoughts on the Morelos/Lafferty issue…
3 away games where we have gone with Lafferty and Morelos up top and only 1 point to show! Not saying they are not compatible but it is a worry and I can imagine SG and the staff are looking into this big time and try to get a solution.

That’s 3 of our 4 away games he’s meddled abt with his starting 11.
Got his formation wrong at Fir Park.
Got his tactics totally wrong at Parkhead.
Today, too many changes & Lafferty/Morelos away from home isn’t working.

Lafferty or Morelos should be the choice. Both have been tried a few times & doesnt work. Morelos ends up going wide & Lafferty looks lost when playing as a 2.

If Goldson and Katic are fit then they start every time in the league for me, I don’t mind rotation in cups/Europe but the league no. Trying to fit Lafferty & Morelos in makes us totally lop sided and doesn’t work. Stick with 4-3-3 with 2 proper wide men and Morelos ????
