With a 2-0 first-leg victory over FC Shkupi and a scoreless second-leg on Tuesday evening, Rangers have booked their place in the Qualifying Second Round draw of the Europa League and we will learn our next opponents later today I believe when Petrocub and Osijek complete their tie.

It wasn’t a great performance in either game to be fair, but there were certainly positives. Thinking of the second-leg, in particular, we kept a second clean sheet which will help defensive confidence, especially as the back line are still adjusting to the new arrivals and having progressed on aggregate, the game itself was another lift as Gerrard’s time at the club begins and it serves as another 90 minutes on a fitness building front.
I’ve already covered the reactions of fans in the main, but Gerrard was obviously in front of the press on Tuesday evening to give his own summation of the game, and plenty of fans were delighted with what he had to say – especially the nods he gave towards criticisms that were being raised within the fanbase itself following the match.
Great that he doesn’t hide behind the old cliche or sound bites.
He clearly sees a lack of ability in the final 3rd like we all can just now and that’s great to hear and let’s the fans (and players) know it’s an issue

Refreshing maybe ,playing 2 right footed players on the left is adding to the lack of creativity on that flank,an our right said was our strong point of creativity, candeas in this system has affected that aswel

He is the first manager we have had for many years who sees the issues and agrees with what the fans see. He is honest and we believe Stevie G is the real deal. The ones not producing will b gone pretty quick don't think he suffers fools gladly. So happy he our gaffer #LetsGo

Don’t think the wide guys are good enough either , Wide guys need to stay wide but they just don’t seem to want to , inside all the time … Murphy , Windass & Candeias all want to come inside

Yes he can now see how bad a team he's got ,the only person smiling after that result is Pedro who now has the 2nd worst result in Euro history behind this shambles
— Alan Mcpherson (@alanmicky566) July 17, 2018
Very refreshing and honest. Think he can see we need improvement upfront. Onto our next Eastern European trip.
