Michael Beale has brought in John Lundstram to replace Ryan Jack otherwise its an unchanged team for Rangers against Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup quarter-final.

The team that performed admirably against Hibs in midweek goes again and it is the right call from the manager in what is a great opportunity to build momentum.

Against a Raith team that is struggling for form in the Championship, this game at Ibrox should be a case of the hosts dominating and showing their quality and superiority.

Rangers line-up is as follows:

McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Lundstram, Cantwell, Raskin, Sakala, Kent, Colak

The one change is likely made to make sure that Jack isn’t overloaded with his condition requiring management. No point in taking a chance that isn’t required.

On the bench today:

McLaughlin, Ridvan, Hagi, Jack, Souttar, Kamara, Morelos, Wright, Arfield.

It’s great to see such a strong bench which reinforces the further options now available to Beale, which as previously stated should drive up competition within the squad and keep players on their toes. The result should be that performance levels are kept high but as great as the win in Edinburgh was on Wednesday, consistency has been a regular problem for this Rangers team going back some time.

A return to Hampden is at stake for the semi-final of the Scottish Cup. The importance of this trophy this season is not lost on anyone of a Rangers perspective.

Kick-off at Ibrox is at 1pm with an expectation for Beale’s team to deliver once again, today.
