Rangers supporters have taken great joy in absurd reports that English Premier League giants are on the verge of making a move for Celtic winger James Forrest.
The Scottish Sun reported on Sunday that he could be the subject of an £8m transfer, with Jurgen Klopp said to be a big fan of the player having tracked his form over the past few months.
It’s true that the Hoops winger has had an impressive start to the season, but is it likely that a player who was outclassed by Andy Halliday recently is going to displace Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool first-team?
It’s an absurd story and one which highlights how ridiculous the January transfer window can get.

To be fair, losing Forrest would only benefit us in the second half of the season so let’s hope Liverpool are as mad as the report suggests.
