According to the Scottish Sun, German side Nuremberg have made a £500,000 bid for Kilmarnock defender Greg Taylor – though it’s thought that that offer has been rejected by Killie.
The young full-back is another exciting Scottish player coming through and he certainly impressed last season for Steve Clarke’s side.
Indeed, he should be on for a good career in the coming years and Rangers have been linked with him in recent times by the Daily Record.
It appears that the bidding has begun for the player, then, and though Killie have rebuffed this initial offer it is clear that interest in him has been firmed up.
Now, then, we’ll have to see whether or not the German club goes in with another offer or whether we look to jump in too.
We could do with extra full-back options and Taylor is a good young player but it is also clear that the Gers are yet to really make a real play for him.
