Rangers winger Ryan Kent, on loan, has this week praised Gers supporters at Ibrox as ‘the best fans in the world’ as the clamour for him to make his move from Anfield permanent grows.
The 21-year-old has been in excellent form over the last month though and has been central to picking up some big results, most notably against Rapid Vienna and Hearts at Ibrox.
It’s clear from his play he gets a massive thrill from the response of supporters and now he’s said as much himself.
Speaking on the Official Rangers Podcast, Kent said:
The fans have been incredible throughout my time here. They have a big part to play in our performances. I think you can see that in the results we have had recently.
Especially for me, when I pick the ball up and I hear all the fans get behind me, it gives me a great deal of confidence. They’re the best fans in the world and you can see that with the atmosphere in each game.
Could it be a relationship he’ll seek to continue beyond his current loan deal?
It certainly doesn’t sound like it’s something he wants to give up anytime soon anyway.
There’s nothing quite like having a sold out Ibrox backing you up and if he continues playing in the manner he has been then he’s only going to become more popular with the loyal fans.
