Image: The pictures that Rangers fans will surely have been waiting for

Football might not be being played at present, but there’s no shortage of excitement amongst Rangers fans at the moment. We’ve signed a couple of big names already, and now we’ve finally gotten our first glimpse at one of them.

As revealed on the official Rangers Twitter page, Jermain Defoe has taken part in his first training session for the Gers, and the club have revealed a few pictures of him in action.

This is likely what many Rangers fans have been waiting for. It hasn’t felt real up until now, but with the lethal forward now officially in Rangers colours, we can finally look forward to him taking to the field under Steven Gerrard.

Defoe looks delighted to finally have joined up with the team, which just goes to show how well we’ve done to bring him in. Hopefully this feelgood factor with resonate with the rest of the team, and that can only have a positive impact.

We’ve desperately lacked a player just like him this season, and we can’t wait to see him in action.
