We’re still pretty disappointed with Rangers’ draw with Kilmarnock on Wednesday. After losing to Aberdeen the weekend prior, Steven Gerrard’s men really needed a good result – and they just didn’t get it.
In truth, it was a pretty lifeless game, and it left very little for fans to be excited about.
So, given the result, you would have expected many of Rangers’ players to have been disappointed and downbeat, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
This certainly seems to indicate some kind of disconnect between the players and fans, as we’ve been left feeling disappointed ever since the final whistle was blown.
Sure, the players are allowed to go out and have dinner despite the result, but it’s certainly concerning that they don’t appear to care quite as much as we do. This attitude, we think, was reflected somewhat against Kilmarnock. It lacked the energy and commitment that was present earlier on in Gerrard’s reign, and that’s a real worry. Truthfully, the players didn’t seem all that bothered. We know that we’d be much more appreciative of a photo of the players out training, rather than smiling around a table.
This is something that some fans seem to agree with, judging by at least some of the comments on the photo above.
Still, all will be forgiven if we can pick up a much-needed win at the weekend. And to be fair to Morelos, he’s done fairly well as of late, and he scored our only goal against Kilmarnock.
Let’s just hope they had their greens with their meal – we need all of our players in the best possible shape.
