Do as I say not as I do.

Once again, that old adage can be aimed at James Dornan of the SNP over his latest contribution on matters of sectarianism, or should that be ‘selectarianism’.

This time with the focus on Celtic fans, following incidents including abuse directed at Kris Boyd during the game at Tannadice yesterday, Dornan wasn’t in his usual full throttle mode when it is not Rangers supporters under the spotlight.

This is why he just can’t be taken seriously, his double standards and lack of parity are as blatant as it is loaded.

Also noticeable by its absence is the lack of outrage and acrimony from other Scottish political figures who tend to get themselves involved in these sort of matters, when certain clubs and supporters are involved, it is almost like they do that depending on what suits their agenda and not applying the same principles no matter who is involved.

Sectarianism is a blight wherever it appears but in Scotland, nothing will change anytime soon because too many of those in positions of power who are able to influence and enable use it for their own ends and it provides a platform for their own promotion, ego and intent.

The division as well as ‘the us and them’ keeps them relevant, let’s keep reminding them of that and continue to ‘call it out’.
