23 year old Kyle Hutton has today put pen to paper on a new 12 month deal at Ibrox.

Hutton is obviously a product of our Murray Park Academy, and was out of contract this summer, but his performances and effort in training, despite the injuries he sustained last season, have seen him get a deal where he will no doubt be hoping to really kick on for us next season, having only played in 12 games for us last year.

Speaking to the Official Site after signing the deal, he said.

‘I’m absolutely delighted to sign a new deal with Rangers. You never want to leave a club like this so I’m over the moon to agree a new contract.’

Hutton says that obviously there is good competition in the midfield areas at the club, but he is confident in his own ability and his chances to impress when called upon, so he’ll be going into pre season looking to work hard, and improve further and hopefully catch gaffer Ally McCoist’s eye so he can really build on his showings last term.

‘It was frustrating to miss so much of last season through injury but I am fully fit and ready to play a part in our rise back to the top.’
