Huge speculation at Tynecastle that has been spreading like wildfire this evening that Kris Boyd will travel to Germany tomorrow to undergo a medical and discuss terms with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.

As Vital Rangers reported earlier this week, the German side have been rumoured to be interested in the striker since January of this year, and several different sources claim that Hertha are now ready to make their move.

For whatever reason, Boyd seems to be a player that the club are more than willing to move on, out of our most ‘sellable’ assets, he appears to be the one the club believe they could get away with cashing in on.

Many have even discussed how Sir David Murray has questioned the player’s attitude on several occasions, having told supporters at a ceremony where he was awarded a memento from fans groups to celebrate his 20 years at the club. Which was strengthened when he was the only asset we seemed to be able to sell on in January.

As discussed before, I don’t know where we’re getting another 25 goal a season striker out of the current squad, as there is no chance any fee recouped for Boyd will be used to fund a replacement….literally ZERO chance in fact.

What do you think? IF this is true, it can’t be viewed as anything other than yet another obstacle to overcome this season if we want to retain the SPL title.

Have your say on Vital Rangers and we will hopefully be able to get more on this speculation as the day goes on….
