Rangers winger Jamie Murphy has taken to social media to post a positive update on the knee injury he sustained the other month that ended his 2018/19 campaign.
The 29-year-old former Brighton and Hove Albion player picked up the injury in the Cup victory over Kilmarnock in late August and manager Steven Gerrard had already commented that he felt he was going to be a “huge player” for us this year and the injury news had left him “bitterly disappointment” but having undergone surgery earlier this week, he now begins the load road back to recovery.
Day 1: Recovery starts now! Been told op was a success, so thanks to Simon Ball and everyone at @FortiusClinicUK for all their help so far. Ready for the challenge ahead 💪🏻 pic.twitter.com/FkT3nqBArb

The good wishes and encouraging comments flooded in from all angles and it wasn’t just Rangers and Brighton fans who got in on the act, fellow footballers also piped up knowing how serious an injury it was and the work that lies ahead of him now as he builds himself back up to full fitness with an eye on making a return next season.
Brilliant news Jamie. We’ll see you soon ????
