Vital Rangers understands that South African based millionaire Dave King is in advanced negotiations to buy Rangers.

Although no deal is likely to be finalised before January, speculation over the weekend suggests that King will appoint current Scottish Rugby Union Chief Gordon McKie to the position of Cheif Executive currently held by Martin Bain, according to reports in tomorrow’s Scotsman.

Also, Rangers fanzine ‘Number 1 Fanzine’ reported on Saturday that Walter Smith, Ally McCoist and Kenny McDowall will leave the club in January and be replaced by a Scottish manager based in England.

This would tie in to speculation from around a year ago where it was suggested that Preston North-End manager Alan Irvine was on the Ibrox radar

Keep it at Vital Rangers over this coming week as from what we’re hearing, this could be one of the most eventful weeks in our history.
