Not only was Sunday’s win against Hibernian the first that Rangers have managed in six it was also Stuart McCall’s first win as our manager with it a case of third time lucky as we closed the gap on second place to three-points.

A two-nil win at Easter Road, with late goals in either half, gives us a chance of overturning Alan Stubbs’ side with us also having a game in hand – this win of course confirmed Hearts as Scottish Championship Champions though.

A quickly taken freekick freed Clark, his cross was blocked by Stevenson but Hibernian ‘keeper Oxley was beaten by Wallace (44), against his former side, as he was first to react to put us ahead on half time when it looked destined to be a goalless half.

We could have added a second in the second half, and were unlucky not to get a penalty for a Fontaine push on Clark with Hibernian’s best chance cut out by Zaliukas.

Clark again threatened with the points confirmed when Wallace looked to have fouled Hanlon? With nothing given we carried on with Miller (80), controversially, confirmed the points with 10-minutes to play to wrap up our two-nil win.
