Rangers Word On The Tweet

‘He’s rotten’ – Loads of Rangers fans slam 27-year-old after chance to win at Celtic Park

|

Rangers have dropped thirteen points behind Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership this weekend after losing 2-1 at Celtic Park.

And yet it could have all turned out so different for Steven Gerrard and his side.

Having found themselves 1-0 down and a man down at the break, the team rallied magnificent in the second half to put serious pressure on the home side, eventually equalising through the impressive Ryan Kent.

With the scores tied at 1-1, we actually looked like the team most likely to find a winner, but we spurned our golden chance in front of goal when Ryan Jack blazed over with 15 minutes to go. That was the golden chance for some fans to get their Matchbook bonus and offers as well as bragging rights for the match.

For some it was an unforgivable miss, feeling that the midfielder should have buried the chance and dragged the Gers right back into the title race.

Ultimately it wasn’t to be, and it has raised questions about what exactly the Scotland international offers Gerrard’s first-team.

Should we be seeking a more dynamic, attacking midfielder to play in these matches?
