Brahim Hemdani has made it a double after visitors to this site voted him their player of the year. This follows the official Rangers fans’ award he received.
Votes have been flooding in, in the last couple of weeks to the site and for a while it was close between Barry Ferguson and Hemdani, but Hemdani slowly pulled away from Ferguson to take the award.
Brahim Hemdani has had a superb season for Rangers, and has been an almost ever present. He deserves the award without any shadow of a doubt, despite good seasons also from the likes of Ferguson, Allan McGregor and Charlie Adam.
Hemdani had been tipped to leave Rangers after a poor first season which was wrecked by injury, but he became a vital part of the team under first Paul le Guen, and then Walter Smith.
He has had to fill in a centre defence at times as well but still maintain a high level of performance. He truly is a class player, and has even weighed in with a couple of vital goals this season.
He scored late equalisers against Celtic in the league, and Osasuna in the UEFA Cup. Rangers eventually went out to Osasuna, but the late goal gave Rangers a fighting chance going into the second leg.
Coming up next are our young player of the year, and goal of the season award, but for now, here are the results in full of our player of the year award:
