Jamie Murphy suffered an apparent serious injury during Rangers’ clash with Kilmarnock on Sunday and fans want to see Glenn Middleton get a first-team chance in his place.

It was a real blow to see the Ibrox winger be carried off during the Scottish League Cup encounter, with his knee seemingly buckling.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard revealed after the match that they are fearing the worst with regards to the injury and that he could be out for a lengthy period.

As gutting as that is for the player, Gerrard must now consider who is best placed to come in a replace his presence in the Gers first-team and many fans are looking at one talent – Glenn Middleton.

The teenager has been used sparingly by the manager so far this season but has looked exciting every time he’s played and plenty now feel it’s the perfect chance for him to come into the team and impress.
