Rangers supporters would love to see Ross McCrorie start tonight’s Scottish Premiership clash at home to Aberdeen.

The young midfielder has not started a match in any competition since September and has just two league starts to his name this season so far.

Coming off the bench late on against Hearts on Sunday, he impressed supporters with some committed and passionate play to help see out a crucial 2-1 win when the team were down to ten men.

With Scott Arfield suspended, Lassana Coulibaly failing to hit his early season heights and Ovie Ejaria’s form also blowing hot and cold, it feels like the perfect opportunity for Steven Gerrard to give him a new chance to shine in the first-team.

The Gers know a victory is needed over Aberdeen to stay top of the table, with Celtic also playing at the same time away to Motherwell.

Can McCrorie help pick up another vital win?

Plenty of fans want to see him on the team-sheet, with a massive 89% of respondents to a poll we published earlier this week feeling he should play.
