The game against St. Mirren, I thought, marked a number of interesting points about our team and, hopefully, it bodes well going forwards.
First of all, we enjoyed seeing the players respond after recent criticism and the grit they showed to get the win late on should serve us in good stead.
Alfredo Morelos, meanwhile, is one of the best forwards in the league and deserves praise but, equally, I think Daniel Candeias has really come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks.
Arguably, aside from Morelos, he was our best player last month and despite the setback in getting a red against St. Mirren late on, before then he was excellent.
The red was a joke, too, let’s be fair and it’s testament to his performances this year that many of us feel that we will miss him on the pitch.
He’s really grown this season, then, and once he his back on the field I expect to see more class performances from him.
