Rangers dropped points in the Scottish Premiership against Hibs for the second time in a week after failing to win against Neil Lennon’s side at Ibrox on Boxing Day.
Seven days after a frustrating 0-0 draw at Easter Road, the Gers were again held to a draw, this time 1-1, after Darren McGregor cancelled out Alfredo Morelos’ opener.
It leaves Steven Gerrard’s team in a precarious position heading into this Saturday’s Old Firm derby, with Celtic now three points ahead at the top of the table.
The failure to kill off Hibs after taking the lead was a point of major frustration for Rangers supporters yesterday, with many again pointing to the midfield for a lack of creativity.
One player who drew plenty of criticism was Lassana Coulibaly. Fans have been left scratching their heads about what he offers the Rangers team right now and are questioning his continued selection.
These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his display…

He is woeful technically. And, ultimately, not astute enough to read the game. Physicality is useless without a brain in which to deploy said attributes. I don’t want him on the pitch Sat

Greg Doherty > Lassana Coulibaly

Ryan Jack and Lassana Coulibaly can’t play in the same team together. Been saying it for months. Constantly changing the team and throwing players under the bus is doing Gerrard no favours at all.

On Coulibaly we were told we had a beast and to be fair looked to be the case early on, yesterday second half got out of the way of 2 50/50 challenges we keep going back to injury as an excuse but bang average performances since then suggest we are now seeing the norm https://t.co/xIsfRas3x2

Hugely frustrating day for Rangers, game had 1-1 written all over it from early in the second half. Coulibaly far too lumbering, slowed things down too often. Tavernier and Candeias have had far better days too. McCrorie terrific, played with real maturity. Jack also very good.
