Rangers dropped points in the Scottish Premiership against Hibs for the second time in a week after failing to win against Neil Lennon’s side at Ibrox on Boxing Day.

Seven days after a frustrating 0-0 draw at Easter Road, the Gers were again held to a draw, this time 1-1, after Darren McGregor cancelled out Alfredo Morelos’ opener.

It leaves Steven Gerrard’s team in a precarious position heading into this Saturday’s Old Firm derby, with Celtic now three points ahead at the top of the table.

The failure to kill off Hibs after taking the lead was a point of major frustration for Rangers supporters yesterday, with many again pointing to the midfield for a lack of creativity.

One player who drew plenty of criticism was Lassana Coulibaly. Fans have been left scratching their heads about what he offers the Rangers team right now and are questioning his continued selection.

These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his display…

  • Rangers play same tactics each week, 1 striker and midfield players who are average at best. Why sign Lafferty ? does Gerrard expect Lafferty to make a difference when he brings him on for 5 mins. Playing with 1 striker and expecting Morelos to perform each week with the service and backup he gets is unrealistic.
Rangers coaching staff need to have a good look at how Celtic play , attacking football with many players who can score goals. Rangers going into play Celtic with 1 striker and allowing Celtic to dominate play for 80% of the game is asking to be flogged. Who at Rangers is responsible for their signings? At the moment Rangers do not seem to have any leadership or direction on the park.
