‘He isn’t good enough’, – Many Rangers fans are looking for more from Gerrard project

Glenn Middleton looks dejected

Rangers have been knocked out of the UEFA Europa League after losing 1-0 to Rapid Vienna in Group G of the competition this evening.

It was a frustrating night for Steven Gerrard’s side, who created just one real chance across the 90 minutes, having needed a victory qualify for the knockout stages.

Defensively we were sound for the majority of the match but in attack we were rather toothless, missing the creativity of players like Daniel Candeias.

It was a big night for youngster Glenn Middleton, who was trusted with a start, but the teenager failed to live up to some of his previous performances and struggled to link up effectively with striker Alfredo Morelos.

Many fans are looking for more from the 18-year-old, hoping that he finds more consistency in his game.
