Rangers Joe Aribo has given a glowing endorsement to his Ibrox teammate, Glen Kamara, making it clear how highly he rates the Finland international.

In a live Instagram interview with Joe Black, hosted by the Kinetic Foundation, Aribo fielded a range of topics and questions on his career to date.

Kinetic, a ‘full-time football education programme helping young people reach their potential through sport’  was a cornerstone in the development of Aribo as well as other inner London-bred players such as Josh Maja and Kwadwo Baah.

Aribo was asked to name a player he has played with who is better than people give him credit for and instantly his face lit-up.

“I can’t lie, I must say my boy Glen Kamara!”

“I think he’s a joke,” said Aribo in a very positive manner.

“It’s only people who get to see him up close every day who get to see it”.

The south London Kinetic Academy was previously featured in a report by The Guardian, providing further insight on the work that they do.

Giving a chance and a focus to young people from deprived backgrounds is to be commended and it is great that their profile can be raised via the exploits of alumni like Aribo, lighting up the Europa League and making strides on the international stage with Nigeria.

As for Glen Kamara, this latest glowing report will not be the only one – he is a player whose reputation is soaring thanks to the high level and consistency that is being displayed on the pitch.

It will be a big surprise if clubs from bigger leagues do not come calling this Summer which would give Rangers a big decision to make.

If the move materialises, that in itself will be a sign of progress at Ibrox given the fantastic value and return that will be reflected in any near-future sale of Kamara.
