Although everything has been going pretty smoothly for Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in the opening stages of his reign as Ibrox boss, the club have had to endure the first critical injury blow of the season.
Jamie Murphy was stretchered off during Sunday’s match with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park, apparently suffering a knee injury.
Gerrard later admitted that the squad is now looking a bit thin in his absence, with the expectation that the winger is going to be out for the majority of the season.
One option to shore the hole left in his absence is turning to the transfer window, and someone who played against the Gers this weekend could fit the bill.
Jordan Jones was his usual lively self during the Scottish League Cup clash, sparking debate on social media about whether the club should make a move for the player.
You may remember we had a bid rejected for him in January.
Should we re-ignite our interest?

Own goal… great piece of play from Jordan Jones who is a handful. That´s the player I´d sign before the window shuts
