Rangers are set to take on St. Johnstone on Saturday in a game that, realistically, the Gers should be winning. It’s vitally important that we pick up as many points as we can over the next few weeks as we look to keep pace with Celtic at the top of the table.
Of course, our title charge has reduced speed somewhat over the last few weeks, but there is still more than enough time to make things right, and there are more than enough games still to play that could have a crucial impact on our fate.
Unfortunately, though, ahead of our game with St. Johnstone, Steven Gerrard has confirmed a number of injury problems, with players including Jermain Defoe and Kyle Lafferty considered doubts for the game. This list also includes Graham Dorrans.
SG: Defoe is a doubt, Lafferty is a doubt. Goldson is fine. Grezda is still a little bit away. Murphy has started kicking balls but he won’t be back until the last few games of the season. Dorrans has had a setback but we are not sure to the extent of it just yet.

Despite the significance of Defoe and Lafferty’s absences, however, it’s Dorrans that has generated a lot of anger amongst Rangers fans. Indeed, in response to the news, supporters have lashed out over on Twitter – with many taking issue with his injury record.

Dorrans is finished.

Dorrans needs to go, sitting back taking up a wage! What is the latest setback now!! Split a hair or something! To me he doesn’t have the heart to play for Rangers, Obviously he is finished, get his contract released

It’s a shame as he obviously has talent and is a bear like the rest of us, we can’t afford the luxury of passengers who aren’t contributing though. Hopefully he gets through this and can start to repay the club for the faith we’ve shown.
