With news of Rangers left-back Lee Wallace finding himself left out of the Europa League squad, fans were mixed in the responses given the loyalty the 31-year-old showed us during darker days in recent years.
That news was added to as the SPFL confirmed that his appeal, alongside Kenny Miller, over the fines and suspensions they suffered following an alleged bust-up with Graeme Murty had been upheld.
There are obviously consequences still to fall out of this decision, but for many fans, they want to see it used somewhat as an olive branch to see him brought back into the fold properly as they feel he still has some good years ahead of him.
He deserves a game. Flanagan playing on the wing on his weaker foot means he cuts in and missed dangerous chances. When Miller is on his game he’s more useful. If anyone can revive Lee Wallace it’s Stevie G.

Lee Wallace sacrificed everything for our club and for that reason, he deserves another chance and to be included in the squad. Great cover for Barisic and surely Flanagan would play in his favoured position at RB and be Tav’s back up ????⚪️????

I’d of thought Wallace and Flanagan would be a straight swap for tav and Barasic when game days are close together same with worral and McCauley for Katic and goldson?

Wallace Deserves another Chance!
…And will be a Good Solid Back-Up to Barisic ????— Steven J O'Brien (@BlueBoy186) September 5, 2018
I’m disappointed that Lee Wallace’s @RangersFC career is petering out the way it is. He stuck with club in our hour of need. Seems no way back for him now.

Lee Wallace deserves a lot more credit than he gets from a lot of Rangers fans.

Absolutely, get him back in and move Tav further up.

A number of fans aren’t convinced by John Flanagan at left-back so letting him focus on his natural position as competition to James Tavernier, and then letting Wallace and Barisic fight it out for that spot certainly makes more sense to me as whatever anyone thinks about relative ability, the defence isn’t unbalanced that way.
