Steven Gerrard has certainly not been shy to make some signings this month and in the summer window when he first arrived.
Certainly, he’s looked to improve our squad where possible and a number of arrivals have done decent jobs – though not all of them.
With an extensive contact book no doubt at his disposal, though, it is clear that he’s got plenty of players he can reach out to and it appears he’s done it once again.
This time, Andy Firth has arrived with the goalkeeper once at the Liverpool academy:

Without doubt, it’s a bit out of the blue but it seems as though he wanted a new stopper to rival Allan McGregor between the sticks.
What this means for Wes Foderingham is up for debate, though, with Firth in his early 20s and having plenty of room to grow as a stopper.
Meanwhile, it’s testament to things being kept under wraps by the club.
