Highly rated Danish youngster, Andreas Skov Olsen, has been linked with a sensational move to Rangers in what would be a coup similar to the one that saw Ianis Hagi join the Light Blues.

Olsen, currently at Bologna, has struggled to make an impact in Serie A with just one goal in 19 appearances but there is clear potential in the £6million rated right winger – he wouldn’t be the first Dane to struggle in Italy’s top flight before being given the chance to become a hero in Glasgow.

The Danish Under-21 forward has eight goals in 16 youth games, part of the reason Bologna were forced to part with €6million to sign him last summer from Nordsjaelland.

Where does Rangers "target" Lyndon Dykes current play his football?

Steven Gerrard appears to be targeting a specific part of his starting XI having intimated that the recruitment team are working hard to identify players that can immediately strengthen the side, the right-hand side of his forward line featured several different players last season each with varying degrees of success but ultimately left more questions than answers.

Another name to have surfaced recently is Kemar Roofe, first of all identified as a player who could replace Alfredo Morelos to one that could form part of a devastating new front line, reports in Belgium going as far as to suggest that Gerrard has had a £5.5m “loan to buy” offer rejected.

With the squad not needing a major overhaul for the first time in years, the Gers gaffer has the luxury of being able to focus on one or two key players who can contribute to closing the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership and in the process, dethrone Celtic as the champions.
