An unwanted distraction ahead of last night’s Europa League clash between Rangers and Rapid Vienna was the internet clean up that on-loan Liverpool winger Ovie Ejaria seemed to have embarked on.

It was reported yesterday that the 21-year-old could’ve had his loan agreement torn up and that he was on his way back to Liverpool after he appeared to delete his Twitter page and ‘unfollowed’ the club on Instagram, removing any mention of Rangers in the process.

The reports implied it was the true toys out of the pram moment from the youngster who has received good game time at Ibrox, despite what most fans consider to be very mixed performances.

Earlier today, manager Steven Gerrard stated simply that he would be talking with the player and his parent club to ‘discuss what is best’ moving forward, but if you are allowed to read between the line, he threw his toys, but we just haven’t stuck agreement to cancel his deal yet.

Reacting to the latest development, fans weren’t very sympathetic towards him.
