Quoted by the Daily Record, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has challenged Alfredo Morelos to clarify his future once and for all this summer to save him being asked questions by the press.
The striker has been our best player for a while and certainly proved a nuisance last season as he scored goal after goal.
Unfortunately, he also picked up red after red and that is something he’ll need to curb, if he is here for the duration of the coming season.
Indeed, Steven Gerrard is repeatedly asked about the future of the South American forward and he has evidently had enough of that with him saying:
“Alfredo is a huge part of what we are trying to do here. Instead of me answering this question every single press conference, I’m going to do everything I can to put Alfredo in front of you guys.
“Then you can ask him the question whether he wants to be part of this going forward. I can only say I want him to be part of it. The decision lands with Alfredo.”
Whether or not Morelos ends up in front of the press remains to be seen – I personally have my doubts we’ll see that – but at least Gerrard is looking to put and end to all the talk as soon as.
The speculation doesn’t help, so maybe this will work.
