I must admit, I haven’t felt this excited about a game involving the Gers for a long, long time.
The boys in blue take on Villarreal this evening in a match that could see us take a huge leap towards the knockout stages of the Europa League.
It will be tough, of course, with the Spanish side possessing great quality but we know we can compete with them if we play to our full potential.
And, that in mind, Steven Gerrard has said that a result is possible if we can hit our maximum and perform to our very best.
This is his blueprint for tonight:
????️ “I think if we bring our ‘A’ game and we max out, we are certainly capable. But come the final whistle, it's critical we don’t lose the game. A draw takes it to the last game and to the wire, but for us, we are going to go and try win."

Of course, if we’re in contention going into the final week then that is more than fine for us but getting a win tonight would be massive in terms of the group and our confidence.
Let’s get out there, rattle them early and get the three points.
