Gerrard hoping to sanction this transfer business in coming weeks

|

Steven Gerrard has spoken of his desire to get a few players in the squad moved on this summer now as we prepare for the new season.

The Gers have been excellent in friendlies so far with us hammering Marseille 4-0 over the weekend with another fine performance.

Added to the win we’ve had in Europe already and things are looking rosy but there is still a long way to go before we achieve anything.

In the more imminent future, meanwhile, manager Steven Gerrard has said that he is hoping for a few more exits before the end of the window and he will sanction them if they are the right deal.

Quoted by the Express, the boss had this to say:

“Over the coming weeks, we’re hoping to move some on.

“It’s very difficult to meet everyone’s ambitions in terms of game time because everyone wants to start every game and it’s difficult to do so.

“If there’s something out there that will suit the player and the club then I’ll respect that.”

It would make sense for several players to move on in all honesty.

We have a very large squad now and it is clear that there are too many for the new campaign that we can keep happy.
