Gerrard hints at Rangers shake-up ahead of important few weeks

|

There are some big games coming up on the horizon for Rangers and it remains to be seen how the Gers perform exactly in them all.

Indeed, we’re still in both the league and cup but we’re going to have to get through the next few games without top scorer and key man Alfredo Morelos after his red and ban were upheld despite a Rangers appeal.

Certainly, then, it’ll fall to Jermain Defoe to be the main man to get our goals but Steven Gerrard has hinted that a shake-up of the forward line could well be an option too.

As quoted by the Belfast Telegraph, the boss has hinted that now could be the time for Kyle Lafferty to feature more and get going at the club.

He said:

“We also have Kyle (Lafferty) in the running as well. We might decide to go down a different way.

“That’s for me to work out in the coming days and weeks, but we are definitely in a stronger position when you think about what position we were in with just two strikers in the first six months.”

It’s been a far from successful period for the striker back at the club but he has an opportunity and hopefully, he can be able to seize it with both hands.
