Before we get into this, I am still 100% behind Steven Gerrard as our manager and firmly believe that we’re going to enjoy success with him at the helm.

He’s a passionate, well-respected figure in the game and, hopefully, he’ll be able to prove himself a manager as good as he was a player.

However, it seems at the moment that, whilst what he is saying sounds right it’s not having the desired effect.

We’re far from out of league contention and in Europe we’re looking strong but it’s time to see some action on the pitch from the players.

He knows what it means to play for a big club and he knows what it means to represent us with what he says to the players:

He now needs to use something else to get results as well as man management.

He’s an inspirational leader but perhaps it’s time to change things tactically? I’m hoping he can do it.
