Quoted by the Scottish Sun, Steven Gerrard has lamented the fact that the Gers have seen Mark Allen leave the club as Director of Football in recent days.
At the end of last week, the Gers saw Allen leave the club after a couple of years in that particular role.
Indeed, it was a real surprise after the fine work he has done so far and it will take someone with a great deal of skill and expertise to come in and replace him.
We’ll be looking to see who exactly does come in to take over, then, and Steven Gerrard has suggested that whoever does get the gig is going to have to go some.
Indeed, the report has quoted Gerrard at saying that Allen’s exit has generated a big ‘void’ at the club and it’s now up to those in charge to try and ensure that void is filled.
