Free agent signing Gareth McAuley has thrilled a number of Rangers fans and they’ve taken him to their hearts on the back of a single social media move.
The 38-year-old comes to us from West Bromwich Albion and it seems the majority of their fans didn’t want him to leave despite his age and they feel that their Board have made a major mistake by letting the experienced stalwart move on.

That is to our benefit of course as he’s signed a 12-month deal at Ibrox and brings his knowledge of the game to us to sure up defence for manager Steven Gerrard.
His words were probably irrelevant as he took to Twitter to state – “Dreams really do come true” – what really mattered was he included a photo of him as a baby and he wrapped in the Rangers logo and that was all some needed to see from the Northern Ireland international skipper.
A bear living the dream, nothing makes me happier than a rangers fan playing for the club, all the best ????????

In terms of ingratiating yourself with a new fan base, he absolutely smashed it as the saying goes.
