Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty, on loan at Shrewsbury Town, attracted plenty of attention this week with a stand-out performance for Shrewsbury Town in their quest to win the EFL Trophy.
The League One outfit picked up a sensational 6-0 win over Tranmere Rovers with Docherty finding himself on the scoresheet and also creating a number of assists.
The former Hamilton man was sent away from Glasgow by manager Steven Gerrard in the summer, although it was a move always designed to help his development rather than hasten an exit from Ibrox.
Having impressed in bursts for the Gers in the second half of last season, this week’s performance was a reminder for many Rangers fans that his return will be a big boost to the first-team squad.
Some are still backing him to have a big Rangers career eventually.
These supporters took to Twitter over the last couple of days to share their thoughts on it all…
