New Ibrox signing Joe Worrall produced an excellent defensive performance to help Rangers beat Rapid Vienna in UEFA Europa League action on Thursday night.

The 21-year-old was one of a number of big performers throughout the 90 minutes, with the Gers running out 3-1 winners despite going behind in the match just before half-time.

The win means Steven Gerrard’s side are top of Group G after two games, with the three points adding to the impressive draw away to Villarreal two weeks ago.

While our domestic form hasn’t been great at the start of the season, the team are now unbeaten in 10 European matches under Gerrard, which is a fantastic turnaround from where we were last term.

After failing to impress on Sunday, Worrall is now starting to prove why he was brought to the club in the summer transfer window and a few more performances like last night’s will make him a fan favourite.

Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his display…
