French Champions Bordeaux have ruled out a move for Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra, reports The Daily Record.
The French club’s president has revealed the Champions League side will not follow up on their previous interest in the player from the summer.
President Jean-Louis Triaud said: ‘We were interested in Bougherra but that day has passed.
‘We now have absolutely no interest in the player and there will be no bid to sign him. He is not on our list.
‘We have signed a very good defender in Mickael Ciani so the matter is finished.’
I still think Bougherra is going to end of leaving one way or the other, and most likely in January, too. He’s clearly working his ticket. Fortunately, with the form of Danny Wilson, he is becoming mroe expendible by the week.
