The big games keep on coming this week as we head to Aberdeen for a huge clash in terms of the Scottish Premiership title race.

The Gers have been flying at times this season but we have also let mistakes creep in and it remains to be seen which incarnation of the squad turns up at Pittodrie.

However, it does seem as though we’re heading towards a potentially pivotal game in the title race and only a win will do for both sides.

And, to add to the gravitas, Lee McCulloch has claimed that the Gers against Dons game is as close as it gets to an Old Firm clash.

As quoted by the Evening Times, he said:

“Playing at Pittodrie is as close as you will get to an Old Firm game as a Rangers player.”

Certainly, it’s a bold comment to make but you cannot really argue with it – there is plenty of rivalry there with the Dons.

Let’s hope we beat them, then, and keep the pressure on Celtic.
