Former Celtic manager tempted by move for red hot Rangers star

|

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has emerged as a potential transfer target for Leicester City and their new manager Brendan Rodgers, according to website TEAMtalk.

The outlet reckons that Rodgers is not intent on returning to Scotland for many players but one star he is interested in is the Colombian international after his phenomenal 28-goal season so far.

The report states that the former Celtic boss believes he could be a big hit in England and has told the Foxes to track his progress over the coming months.

Morelos wasn’t in amongst the goals against Aberdeen today but his form has been red hot of late and there’s no doubt many clubs will be looking to sign him in the summer.

The stance of Rangers so far has been rebuffing any offers that are not too good to turn down and that is likely to continue given he is under contract at Ibrox until 2022.

The Gers hold all the aces and Morelos will not be a bargain buy for anyone looking to sign him, something that Rodgers will know only too well having sold players for big money at the Hoops over the last few years.

His goals and all round play will need to be replaced, but we can look forward to a big cash windfall when he does leave.
