Rangers FC has marked the upcoming 150th anniversary with the initial launch of a special crest that will honour the major milestone.
A teaser was posted on Rangers social media channels in the last hour, as below.

In what is a very exciting time from the club, fresh on the back of the 55th Scottish title triumph, the main anniversary will fall next March in 2022, not too long before the 50th anniversary of the European Cup Winners’ Cup success in Barcelona, in May.
It will be a special year for all at Ibrox, even more so if the team can make it back into the Champions League, as is the strong intention of Steven Gerrard’s men.
On the beginning of the Rangers 150 campaign, chairman Douglas Park stated:
“Rangers are today delighted to unveil our 150th anniversary crest – the first major milestone as we count down to the celebrations of being the first major European club to reach such a landmark.
“Supporters are at the heart of everything we do at Rangers, and that will be no different as we mark our 150th year.
“The backing we have had from our Season Ticket holders, hospitality clients, and MyGers members since its launch last year has been phenomenal. It is just wonderful to see that loyalty rewarded this season with success on the park.”
