Young defender Joe Worrall made the switch to Rangers and Ibrox late on during the summer transfer window from Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan spell and he’s only been picked once for first-team duties so far by manager Steven Gerrard.
The 21-year-old’s game time may have been limited so far, but his run out against La Liga and Europa League stalwarts Villarreal was an incredibly impressive showing and he won plenty of praise for his individual efforts on the day as we took a point from a 2-2 draw earlier this month.
With many feeling it’s only a matter of time before Gers fans see far more of him, talk has already turned to the possibility of signing him on a permanent basis either in January or during the course of next summer and that’s not something that Gerrard is against according to a report in the Daily Record.
Nottingham Forest fans naturally feel differently.
I think that`s just down to opinions. I think Worrall is more than good enough, but Karanka seems to prefer experience in all parts of the team. I really hope Worrall comes back though. I always loved watching him play ????

Let's all not start turning on Worrall like Brereton. I hope he learns from his loan spell and comes back a better player #nffc

Would hope we don’t sell Worrall and he comes back a better player for his experience at Rangers. Dawson hasn’t got many seasons left and Joe has hopefully a long successful career ahead of him. #NFFC

I will not be happy if we sell Joe Worrall. Unfortunately I think we might. I was unhappy when we sold BB and got called a moaner, a lot. The moaning will go up another notch if we sell Joe. Might never happen so the #nffc timeline will hopefully be safe this January. https://t.co/VFJ77QKR12

Problem is, Fox, Hef and Dawson are all getting on. Think Worrall is actually pretty good he just needs more game time with us

One fan base is going to be disappointed, let’s hope it’s not us.
