After being on the receiving end of the hefty challenge at Pittodrie, Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack is a doubt for Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League fixture at Ibrox.

The Gers face off against Slovenian side Maribor, who pose a very tough test if the club are to make it into the play-off round of the competition.

Stevie May clattered into the 26-year-old on Sunday, leaving him needing hospital treatment.

The latest reports, from journalist Andy Newport, suggest he was discharged on without requiring an overnight stay, but will need to undergo a series of concussion tests before being cleared to face Thursday’s visitors.

He has been in exceptional form in the early part of the season, singled out by manager Steven Gerrard as the team’s top performer last week against NK Osijek.

Now, fans are desperate for him to feature again this week, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on what his absence might mean…

Do Rangers need Ryan Jack to progress past Maribor? Let us know in the comments…
