Exciting talent drops hint he could be playing for Rangers next season

|

On-loan Rangers winger Ryan Kent is fed up of finding a new club every summer and has admitted a return to Ibrox is possible next season, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

The impressive 22-year-old has had an exceptional season on loan from Liverpool, delighting manager Steven Gerrard, his teammates and supporters with dynamic and exciting wing play.

Nominated for both the Players’ Young Player of the Year and Player of the Year, it’s clear there haven’t been many better than him in the country in 2018/19.

Fans are desperate for him to extend his Rangers stay and the player himself appears to have opened the door on playing at Ibrox next season.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, Kent said:

I want to kickstart my career somewhere now. I am tired of changing clubs each year, I want to settle down somewhere.

Liverpool have been good to me, but the enjoyment factor of going back there each year and doing well in pre-season and going back out on loan, it is a repetitive cycle.

I’ve felt comfortable here, I’ve felt at home here.

I think the way I have improved, the coaching staff and the manager have managed to find things in my game that other managers haven’t been able to get out of me. And that’s no discredit to other managers.

I’ve been enjoying myself on the pitch and off the pitch and ultimately that gets the best performances out of me.

I just want to finish the season as strongly as possible to help the team get as many wins as we can and then obviously I’ll sit down with my representatives and discussion will be had.

Signing Kent up for next season would be a real boost to our trophy ambitions.

He’s already shown this term he has the ability to really trouble Celtic and if he can find consistency against the other teams in the league then he’d be a big weapon in our quest to stop the Hoops winning a ninth successive league title.

There are big obstacles in our way before he signs on the dotted line, but the signals are good from both the player and the club.

Ultimately though Liverpool hold his future in their hands considering the amount of time left on his contract at Anfield.

Fingers crossed.
