Ex Rangers defender Henning Berg has been appointed as the new manager of Blackburn Rovers.

Berg takes over from Steven Kean after the Scotsman had gotten the Lancashire club relegated. The Norwegian, arguably better known for his time at Manchester United, although he spent more time at Blackburn, spent the 2003-04 season with Rangers where he ended his career. He played 20 league games for the club.

After leaving Rangers he cut his managerial teeth with Norwegian side Lyn. He steered them to an impressive third place before getting a bigger job with Lillestrom. He was sacked by them however after a spell where he got only a single point in eight matches.
